A native Houstonian, Sheryl Diane Allen is a woman who lives life with passion. A devoted mother of two handsome sons and two gorgeous daughters, Diane is a proud grandmother of eight very smart and articulate grandchildren.

Diane served her great city for 21 years as a peace officer with the Houston Police Department. She worked in various divisions within the police department, including Patrol, Community Services, instructor at the Police Academy, media spokesperson for various criminal investigations, a special projects and budget coordinator for an assistant chief, liaison between the African-American community and the police department and assisting the Recruiting Division in recruiting officers. Officer Allen was promoted to sergeant and managed the Jail Division for seven years before retiring. Sheryl Allen received more than 100 commendations from citizens and supervisors for outstanding service during her tenure with the police department. She served as President of the Houston Police Department’s Toastmasters Club and received the outstanding honor of the Patrice Johnson Award from Leadership Houston.

A lifetime student, Ms. Allen seized the opportunity to complete one of her lifetime goals; returning to college to complete her undergraduate degree in Business Management in 2005. After completing this goal, Diane and her youngest son, Adrian, pursued and completed their Masters degree in Communications – Radio, Television, and Film together at Texas Southern University. She produced and hosted her very own television show called “The Best of Houston” on Public Access TV.

Ms. Allen has authored several short stories, plays and has self-published a book called “Surround Yourself with Love”. She is currently working on a book to be completed by Summer, 2015 “You Can’t Tell by Looking.” Growing up in a family owned business, Diane has returned to her roots to as the Marketing Director for Pha Green Printing, Inc.

A dedicated community servant, her heart is into helping others especially senior citizens. Diane serves as assistant ministry coordinator for the Seasoned Saints Ministry and a Bible Class teacher at the Trinity Gardens Church of Christ.
